When you are off campus and attempt to access an online database (either through Research by Subject or the full list of databases), you will be prompted to enter your AU username and password. These are the same username and password that you use for your AU email account. If you do not have a username and password, contact Information Technology Services.
If you’re unsure which database to use, try using Research by Subject. It provides a list of research databases and other resources that are organized by subject.
To find out if Herrick owns a journal, use the Journal Locator. Enter the title of the journal for which you are looking and you will be told if Herrick or Scholes owns the journal, which issues it owns, what formats they are in (paper, electronic, or microform), and where they are located.
If neither Herrick nor Scholes owns a resource that you’d like to use, you can request it through Interlibrary Loan. You must be a current student, faculty, or staff member to use this service.
If you have genealogical questions, please contact Laurie McFadden, Special Collections Librarian and University Archivist. She can be reached at 607-871-2385 or mcfadden@alfred.edu.
No. The Rogers Bible, attributed to John Rogers, the martyr, is often confused with the one owned by Thomas Hubbard.
