1845 - 1912
Originally located behind the present carillon, Middle Hall was used as the residence of President William Kenyon and as a dining hall and classrooms. It was later known as Allen House and then White House. In 1864 it was sold to Jonathan Allen and William A. Rogers. In 1874, Rogers sold out to Allen. In 1909-10, the building was bought by a realty company comprised of alumni and trustees. Following renovation in 1911 it was leased to the University. It was destroyed by fire in 1912.
