The Brick

Built in 1860 as Boarding Hall, The Brick, so named after being renovated and remodeled after it was burned badly in a 1932 fire, is Alfred University’s oldest residence hall. Through the years, it was also called University Hall and Ladies Hall. It is listed on The National Register of Historic Buildings. At one time the basement served as a dining hall; it now houses the Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts studio.
