Track House was the first name given the “temporary” facility later known as Men’s Gym and of late known as Davis Gym. The structure as it stands today was completed by February 1929. Originally it was used for varsity basketball and track events. Currently it is used for physical education classes, intramurals, varsity track, and various student activities. In 1978, the gym area was renovated with new lighting, insulation in the ceiling, windows removed, exterior insulated walls installed, and four emergency exits constructed. It is scheduled for demolition as plans unfold for the ceramic art museum that will be constructed on the site.
