Merrill Hall

Built next to the first Binns Hall on State Street, and housing the College of Ceramics, Merrill Hall was joined to the new Binns Hall that was constructed in 1950-51 to form Binns-Merrill Hall. Like Merrill Field, it was named after John "Jake" Merrill, native Alfredian and New York State Tax Commissioner who gave Alfred a voice in Albany.
